Mastro Dante(aka Mr. Dante Renzini) is a bit of a celebrity when it comes to Prosciutto. Since 1952 they have been producing some of the finest salumi in the world; and their products such as the 'saddle' covered in peppercorns makes them even more famous.
The founder of the business was the current owner’s grandfather, Dante, who was succeeded by his son Attilio. Today Renzini S.p.A., a leading producer of typical Umbrian delicacies, famous in Italy and throughout the world, is run by the founder’s grandson and current owner, Dante, together with his wife Tina and sons Franco and Federico, the descendents of what has become a dynasty of Umbrian pork butchers.
Quality is the most important principle, starting with excellent ingredients supplied by highly reliable livestock farmers. We respect ancient, tried-and-true traditional methods when preparing our products, while strictly adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Pork butchery is an ancient art that was born and developed in the beautiful town of Norcia located in the Valnerina Valley in Umbria. In fact, the name of this town gave the trade its name in Italian, known as “norcineria”.
